Arsenal beat Porto 5-0 to get to the quarter finals of the Champions league while Bayern Munich lose to Florentina 3-2 but they go through to the quarter finals on away goals. They were a quite a few goals scored but these two were the beauties of the night.

Oscar Review

The highlight of the Oscars was Monique winning the Oscar for best supporting role for her performance in "Precious". That sparked a debate about the type of roles that African Americans win Oscars for. Personally I think the performance is all that matters and I think Monique put a lot of heart into her performance in "Precious". Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance in "The blind side" which was a fantastic movie. The other major story of the night was "Hurt Locker" kicking "Avatar" butt over and over again all night. "Avatar" might have won the box office but "Hurt Locker" simply stole the show at the Oscars.

Lyricism and Capitalism

I spotted this on missinfo and decided to post it because I thought it was a very interesting topic. The hip hop landscape has changed to the point where lyricism has been dumped into the gutter. Artist Waka Flocka Flame brought the issue to the forefront on DJ Whoo Kid's radio show claiming he doesnt do lyrics and lyrical rappers are broke. My take on this is it is difference between being able to make a hit single or make a great album. Young cats these days are only concerned about being able to make that one hit single and you dont need to be lyrical to make a hit single. However if you want to make an album you have to have some substance for people to listen to your music for 60 minutes.
